The epic quarterfinal clash between Germany and Italy at the ongoing European Championships will not be forgotten so soon as the game ended in one of the most dramatic fashion.

With the game going into penalty shootout after the scoreline remained 1-1 for 120 minutes, Italian manager Antonio Conte made a decision he will continue to remember for a long period of time.

The incoming Chelsea manager asked Simeon Zaza to replace Giorgio Chiellini apparently to get involved in the penalty shootout.

Just seconds after the substitution was made, the centre referee blowed the final whistle, which means the match would be decided on penalties, a major purpose Zaza was brought-in.

Germany won the epic shootout 6-5 when Manuel Neuer saved Matteo Darmian’s kick, but Twitter users have continued to feast on Zaza who blasted his penalty kick way over the bar.
